Dibalik Seragam yang Sempurna: Peran Body Image dan Self-Esteem dalam Memprediksi Restrained Eating pada Taruna Sekolah Kedinasan Semi-Militer X di Tegal

Abstract


Restrained eating diduga kuat merupakan manifestasi dari tekanan psikologis yang melatarbelakangi masalah status gizi tidak ideal di kalangan taruna sekolah kedinasan semi-militer. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membuktikan peran body image dan self-esteem siswa dalam memprediksi kecenderungan restrained eating di lingkungan sekolah semi-militer di Tegal. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jumlah sampel 136 siswa dari populasi sebanyak 218 siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan skala restrained eating, skala body image, dan Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSES). Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda menggunakan SPSS menunjukan bahwa (1) Body image dan self-esteem memprediksi  restrained eating (p= 0,00; F= 8,834); (2) Body image tidak memprediksi restrained eating (p= 0,986; β= -0,042); dan (3) Self-esteem memprediksi restrained eating (p= 0,00; β= 0,73). Hasil ini menyoroti dinamika psikologis yang kompleks yang memengaruhi perilaku makan di lingkungan pendidikan semi-militer.
