Focus and Scope
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Psychology, Soegijapranata Catholic Unviersitas (SCU) as part of its scholarly commitment to advancing psychological knowledge that is responsive to multiculturalism/diversity and well-being. This vision reflects the Faculty of Psychology’s commitment to promoting inclusive, ethical, and evidence-based psychological science that contributes to individual and collective well-being. Accordingly, PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi serves as a platform for disseminating rigorous empirical research that addresses psychological issues arising from diversity in social, cultural, religious, gender, and contextual backgrounds.
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi only accepts manuscripts based on empirical research, employing quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. Conceptual papers, theoretical essays, narrative literature reviews, opinion pieces, and non-empirical manuscripts are not considered for publication.

All submitted manuscripts must demonstrate clear empirical methodology, ethical compliance, and theoretical relevance to issues of diversity and well-being. Studies may be conducted in local, national, or international contexts, provided that their findings contribute meaningfully to the broader understanding of multicultural psychological processes and well-being.
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi welcomes contributions from researchers, scholars, students, and practitioners in psychology whose work advances inclusive, evidence-based psychological knowledge and addresses contemporary challenges in culturally diverse societies.

Peer Review Process
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi involves authors, editors, section editors, and reviewers in its editorial and peer-review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial desk review by the Editorial Board. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s focus and scope as well as academic writing standards will be forwarded for peer review. Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria will be returned to the authors without external review.
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi applies a double-anonymized peer-review process to ensure confidentiality and objectivity. The review process evaluates manuscripts based on originality, methodological rigor, objectivity, scientific contribution, clarity of conclusions, and the adequacy of references.
Manuscripts sent for peer review may be returned to the authors for revision based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts accordingly and resubmit them for further evaluation. Revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of review if necessary.
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations and deliberation at the Editorial Board meeting.
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin.

Open Access Statement
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are freely available online upon publication without subscription or access fees. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without prior permission from the publisher or the author, provided that proper attribution is given.

All articles published in this journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Proper citation to the original publication in the journal must always be provided.
Third-Party Material
If the article contains material not owned by the authors (such as figures, tables, or images), authors must ensure that permission has been obtained from the copyright holder when required. Publication Ethics Policy
The ethical principles of PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi are guided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and relevant standards of academic publishing in psychology.
General Principles
As a peer-reviewed journal, PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct to ensure transparency, trust, and accountability in scholarly communication. All parties involved in the publication process are expected to uphold principles of honesty, fairness, and academic responsibility.
The Faculty of Psychology Soegijapranata Catholic University ensures that editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by commercial interests, advertising, sponsorship, or other external pressures.
Research Misconduct
Research misconduct refers to practices that violate the principles of honesty and integrity in scientific research and publication. The journal does not tolerate any form of misconduct in submitted or published works.
- Duplication: Refers to the submission or publication of the same manuscript, or substantially similar content, in more than one journal or publication venue without proper acknowledgment or justification. This includes submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals or republishing previously published work without appropriate disclosure.
- Fabrication: The act of inventing data, results, or research findings and reporting them as if they were genuine. This includes creating fictitious observations, survey responses, or experimental outcomes that were never actually obtained.
- Falsification (Counterfeiting): Involves manipulating research materials, equipment, processes, or data so that the research results are inaccurately represented. This includes altering data, selectively omitting results, or modifying research procedures in ways that misrepresent the research findings.
- Plagiarism: The use of another person's ideas, words, data, or intellectual work without proper acknowledgment or citation. This includes copying text verbatim, paraphrasing without attribution, or presenting another researcher’s work as one’s own. Self-plagiarism, in which authors reuse substantial portions of their previously published work without proper citation, is also considered unethical.
Policy on Misconduct
If evidence of research misconduct is identified during the editorial process or after publication, the journal reserves the right to reject, retract, or correct the manuscript as appropriate. The journal may also notify the authors’ affiliated institutions and take further actions in accordance with established publication ethics guidelines.
Authorship and Contribution
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. Authors should meet the following criteria:
- Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study, or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data
- Participation in drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content
- Approval of the final version of the manuscript to be published
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work
Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence or appear to influence the research or its evaluation. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
Ethical Approval for Research Involving Humans or Animals
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and regulations. Authors must indicate that the study has received approval from an appropriate institutional ethics committee or review board.
Authors should also confirm that informed consent has been obtained from all human participants when applicable.
If ethical approval from the ethics committee was not available for the study, the authors should provide a clear statement about ethical standards and compliance with regulations.
Data Availability and Transparency
Authors are encouraged to ensure transparency and reproducibility of research findings by providing access to the data supporting their results whenever possible.
Editorial Responsibilities
The editor has full authority and responsibility for deciding which manuscripts are accepted for publication. Editorial decisions are based solely on the manuscript’s scholarly merit, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, and contribution to empirical psychological knowledge. Editors must adhere to journal policies and legal requirements related to plagiarism, copyright, and ethical research conduct. When appropriate, editors may consult members of the editorial board or reviewers before reaching a final decision.
Editors evaluate manuscripts exclusively on their intellectual content without discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, political orientation, or institutional affiliation.
Editors and editorial staff must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Manuscript information must not be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board members, or publisher, as appropriate.
Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research or personal benefit. Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Peer reviewers assist editors in making informed editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive, evidence-based feedback.
Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a manuscript or unable to complete the review within the specified timeframe should promptly notify the editor and decline the review invitation.
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential and must not be shared or discussed with others without authorization from the editor.
Reviews should be conducted objectively and respectfully. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers’ comments should be supported by clear arguments and, where relevant, references.
Information obtained during the peer-review process must not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or institutional relationships with any of the authors.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must present accurate and honest accounts of their empirical research. Fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation is considered unethical. Manuscripts should include sufficient methodological detail to allow replication or verification of the study.
Authors are fully responsible for all content, including material assisted by AI. AI tools may be used only for limited support (e.g., language editing), must not replace original scholarly contributions, cannot be listed as authors, and any substantive use must be transparently disclosed.
Authors must ensure that their work is original. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Authors should not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal or publish substantially similar research in multiple venues.
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research.
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of their findings. All sources of research funding must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
Plagiarism Policy
Every manuscript that has passed the editor's desk evaluation or before being published will be checked for similarity using Turnitin software. Documents must meet the maximum similarity limit of 15% to proceed to the review/production process.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi adheres to the ethical principles and best practices established by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools may support certain aspects of scholarly work; however, their use must not compromise research integrity, authorship accountability, or ethical standards in psychological science.
Permitted Use of AI Tools
Authors may use AI-based tools for limited and supportive purposes, such as language editing, grammar checking, reference formatting, or data organization. In accordance with APA guidelines, AI tools must not be used to generate research data, fabricate or falsify results, conduct substantive writing or data analysis, or produce theoretical interpretations or conclusions.
Authorship and Accountability
AI tools (including large language models such as ChatGPT or similar systems) do not meet the criteria for authorship and must not be listed as authors. Full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript rests solely with the human authors.
Transparency and Disclosure
Any substantive use of AI tools must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript, typically in the acknowledgments or methods section, including the name of the tool and its function. Undisclosed or misleading use of AI constitutes a breach of publication ethics and may result in rejection or retraction, in line with COPE guidelines.
Data Integrity, Ethics, and Confidentiality
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the use of AI tools does not violate ethical research standards, compromise participant confidentiality, or breach data protection regulations. AI tools must not be used to process identifiable or sensitive psychological data without appropriate ethical approval and safeguards.
Editorial and Peer Review Process
Editorial decisions and peer-review processes at PSIKODIMENSIA: Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi are conducted exclusively by human editors and reviewers. The use of AI tools to generate peer-review reports or editorial evaluations is not permitted, in accordance with COPE recommendations on confidentiality and accountability.
By submitting a manuscript to PSIKODIMENSIA: Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi, authors affirm their compliance with this AI Policy. The editorial board reserves the right to take corrective actions, including rejection, correction, or retraction, in cases of non-compliance.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi is an open-access journal committed to providing free and immediate access to published research. To support the costs associated with editorial management, peer review, and online publication, the following Article Processing Charges (APC) policy is applied.
Submission and Peer Review
There are no fees for manuscript submission or the peer-review process. Authors may submit their manuscripts and undergo editorial and peer review free of charge.
Publication Fee
Upon acceptance for publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 750,000 (or USD 45) will be applied. This fee covers costs related to final copyediting, layout and formatting, DOI assignment, and long-term digital archiving.
As part of a cooperation agreement with the Asosiasi Psikologi Kristiani—Himpunan Psikologi Indonesia (APK–HIMPSI), a reduced APC of IDR 500,000 is granted to authors who are registered members of APK–HIMPSI. Eligible authors are advised to contact the Principal Contact prior to submission to confirm membership status and eligibility.
Payment Information
Detailed payment instructions and invoicing will be provided upon manuscript acceptance. Authors are responsible for completing all required payments, including language service costs, within the deadline specified by the journal prior to final publication.
Waivers and Discounts
At present, PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi does not offer APC waivers or general discounts. However, authors experiencing financial hardship may contact the editorial team to discuss possible arrangements, particularly for collaborative or institutionally supported publications.
Language Services
1. Manuscripts written in Indonesian must be translated into English by a professional translator prior to publication.
2. Manuscripts written in English must undergo professional proofreading to ensure linguistic accuracy and academic quality.
Translation and proofreading services are provided by external professional language service providers arranged by the authors. These services may also be facilitated by PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi upon request. PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi does not charge commissions or set service fees for language services.
Authors who independently arrange translation or proofreading services are required to submit proof/certificate of professional language editing.
Publication Frequency
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi is published biannually, with two issues released each year in June and December.
Correction and Retraction
PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate steps to correct or retract the content in a transparent and timely manner, in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). PSIKODIMENSIA Kajian Ilmiah Psikologi aims to handle all correction and retraction processes responsibly and professionally to uphold trust in psychological scholarship.
- Corrections: Issued when honest errors are found that do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions of the article. These may include typographical errors, mislabeling of figures, or minor data inaccuracies. A correction notice will be published, linked to the original article, and the original article will be updated accordingly.
- Retractions: Issued when the published article contains major errors, ethical violations, or instances of misconduct such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication. The retraction notice will clearly state the reasons for the retraction and will remain linked to the original article, which will be marked as retracted but not removed from the archive.
- Article Removal: In exceptional circumstances, such as legal issues, court orders, or serious risks to public health, the journal may remove the content entirely. A notice explaining the reason for removal will be posted in place of the article.
