Gambaran Resiliensi Karyawan Swasta yang Terkena PHK Akibat Pandemi COVID-19
Abstract
Abstrak: Pandemi COVID-19 telah menimbulkan dampak multi sektor, termasuk banyak perusahaan yang bangkrut karena tidak mampu bangkit kembali, sehingga melakukan pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) kepada karyawannya. Namun, pada situasi ini karyawan tersebut harus tetap berjuang dan berusaha untuk bisa tetap bekerja dan memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan usaha-usaha karyawan swasta, untuk tetap berusaha di tengah situasi PHK yang terjadi pada masa pandemi COVID- 19 atau yang lebih dikenal dengan resiliensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan alat ukur The Resilience Scale (RS) yang diadaptasi ke Bahasa Indonesia. Peneliti menyebarkan kuesioner daring di seluruh Indonesia dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 124 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat resiliensi pegawai swasta yang terkena PHK berada pada tingkat sedang dengan persentase 64,5%, dan menjelaskan bahwa mereka memiliki usaha untuk mengatasi masalah, namun cenderung bersikap kurang stabil, serta memiliki emosi dan semangat tidak stabil. Aspek dimensi resiliensi yang tinggi adalah aspek personal competence yang meliputi ketekunan dan kemandirian.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has had multi-sectoral impacts, including many companies that went bankrupt because they were not able to get back up, so they did layoffs (PHK) to their employees. Employees who experience layoffs must continue to struggle and try to be able to continue working and fulfill their needs. This research aims to know and to describe the efforts of private sector employees to keep trying in the midst of the layoff situation that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic or better known as resilience. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach and used The Resilience Scale (RS) which was adapted to Indonesian. Data were obtained from 124 respondents, by distributing online questionnaires throughout Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the level of resilience of private employees affected by layoffs is at a moderate level with a percentage of 64.5%, explaining that they have an effort to overcome problems but tend to be less stable, have emotions that are not organized and have ups and downs, and aspects of on the dimension of high resilience is the aspect of personal competence which includes perseverance and independence.
