Author Guidelines

  • The bibliographic and formatting standards of Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th edition is used at this publication.
  • Authors can add the Supplementary Files (e.g., data-set, research instruments, etc) to enhance the validity of the research.
  • At the final step of publication, the editor has the right to edit the manuscript without changing the meaning of the contents.

 

WRITING STRUCTURE

  1. Title, author's name, institution, institutional address, and email address.
  2. ABSTRACT that includes the background, problem statement, objectives, methods, and findings. Followed by keywords. The abstract should be written in both English and Indonesian, each consisting of approximately 150-200 words.
  3. INTRODUCTION that provides the background of the problem supported by accurate data and relevant citations. Implicitly, it should indicate the formulation of the problem and the objectives.
  4. METODOLOGY of the research or discussion.
  5. LITERATURE REVIEW consisting of previous studies and appropriate theories used to strengthen the introduction and discussion.
  6. RESEARCH RESULTS and DISCUSSION supported by accurate data, theories, and analysis.
  7. The paper concludes with a CONCLUSION, RECOMMENDATIONS, AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (if applicable).
  8. REFERENCES should include a minimum of 15 sources from the last 10 years. The reference list should consist of literature cited in the manuscript and should be arranged using the Reference Manager Mendeley (APA Style, 7th edition).

GUIDELINE FOR REFERENCES

  • FOR BOOKS or MONOGRAPHS include the following elements in order: Author's Name. (Year of Publication). Title of Book - Italicized. Place of Publication: Publisher.
  • FOR JOURNALS or PERIODICALS include the following elements in order: Author's Name. (Year of Publication). Article Title. Journal or Periodicals Title - Italicized, Volume Number (Issue Number), Page Range. DOI Number.
  • FOR THESES, DISSERTATIONS, RESEARCH REPORTS, or RESEARCH PAPERS, include the following elements in order: Author's Name. (Year of Publication). Title of Thesis/Dissertation/Research Report (Unpublished Thesis/Dissertation/Research Report) - Italicized. Program Name, Institution Name, City.
  • FOR ONLINE SOURCES: Author's Name. (Year of Publication). Article Title - Italicized. Journal/Document Name. Homepage/Web Address (Date, Month, Year).

SUBHEADINGS FORMAT

  1. MAIN SUBHEADING (capital letters, bold)
  2. Sub-subheading (capital letters at the beginning of words, bold)
  3. Sub-sub-subheading (italicized)
  4. Sub-sub-sub-subheading (capital letters at the beginning of the title only)

FIGURES, TABLES, AND SCHEMES

  • Tables should use horizontal lines without vertical lines.
  • Number figures, tables, and schemes sequentially:
  1. For figures, place the caption below the figure: Figure 1. ...... followed by (Source: Name/Author, Year, Page)
  2. For tables/schemes, place the caption above the table/scheme: Table/Scheme 1....; at the bottom right of the table/scheme, write: (Source: Name/Author, Year, Page).

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission is original product of the author and has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (docx) document file format. Article templates can be downloaded at Template Jurnal.
  3. The format of manuscript is A4 with the maximum length of the manuscript is 15 pages, arranged into two columns, with the top, bottom, left and right margins of 2.5 cm each.
  4. The manuscript is single-spaced; uses Arial 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  5. Maximum plagiarism is 20% based on Turnitin Checker, and minimum references are 15 with APA Style, 7th edition.
  6. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the journal. Where available, DOI or URLs for the references have been provided.
  7. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
