A Literature Review: Global Strategic in Higher Education

Atanasius Emillio Gary Waluyohadi

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant impacts to higher education around the world, including in Indonesia. This research aims to explore the global strategy of higher education with best practices from Germany, Africa, Japan, and China, and look at the conditions in Indonesia. The methodology used is a literature study, where the researcher collected and analyzed various academic sources related to the internationalization of higher education. The findings show that although Indonesia has adopted internationalization policies, challenges such as differences in education quality and limited access to technology still hinder progress. The originality of this research lies in the synthesis of strategies from various countries that can be adapted for the Indonesian context. The resulting recommendations include the need to strengthen international cooperation, improve educational infrastructure, and develop scholarship programs that can attract international students. By adopting best practices from other countries, Indonesia can improve the competitiveness of higher education in the global arena.
