METODE TRACING HANDWRITING WITHOUT TEARS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS NAMA PANGGILAN PADA SISWA TK B

Abstract


Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan menulis nama panggilan sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakukan Tracing Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) pada subjek penelitian yang bersekolah di TK B Islam Bunga Teratai Semarang. Hipotesis penelitian ini ada peningkatan keterampilan menulis nama panggilan setelah dilakukan intervensi dengan metode Tracing HWT pada subjek penelitian yang bersekolah di TK B Islam Bunga Teratai Semarang. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 4 siswa dengan rentang usia 5 6 tahun yang belum bisa menulis nama panggilannya dengan urutan, bentuk, dan bunyi huruf yang tepat. Penelitian dilakukan selama 13 kali pertemuan yang terbagi dalam tiga sesi: baseline pertama selama 3 kali pertemuan, intervensi Tracing HWT 7 kali pertemuan, dan baseline kedua selama 3 kali pertemuan. Analisa data menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif.

Hasil analisa kuantitatif yang menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis nama panggilan yang signifikan dengan rentang p= 0.007 (p<0.05). Analisa kualitatif menunjukkan huruf bertekstur yang diraba dengan tangan menimbulkan rasa senang dan menjadi penguat pada peningkatan keterampilan. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu terjadi peningkatan keterampilan menulis nama panggilan setelah menggunakan metode Tracing HWT.
